Mrs Margaret Holt-Taylor 2005 - 2006

Margaret Holt Taylor, 61 years young, married to Malcolm, one grown up daughter, born in Thorne to one of the oldest Thorne families, has been in local business since leaving college.

Elected to the Town Council in May 2003, elected Deputy Mayor 2003-2004, re-elected Deputy Mayor 2004-2005, elected Mayor 2005-2006, she is committed to promoting the Town and all that it offers together with meeting the people of Thorne and Moorends.

After marriage she has travelled considerable in the Far East, Australasia and Middle East to help her husband Malcolm to becoming an Executive in the International Construction business arena.

Member of the Royal Legion, became involved in local charities including the raising monies for the purchase of a new car for a young male who was disabled in a water accident.

Other interests include Theatre, Travel and local events.
