Sunday December 5th 2004 -
Edwardian Themed Farmers Market
Once again Thorne Farmers Market has proved a success.
Some stallholders had entered into the spirit by dressing in costume, others decorating their stalls. Seasonal music played whilst the shoppers browsed the stalls, enjoying the delights it had to offer, many stalls having tasters to tingle the taste buds of eager shoppers.
Local Hoteliers Murray and Rosemary Stewart gave a much appreciated hand in judging the best dressed Market Stall, and The Mayor Richard Walker in presenting the prize, a big thank you to them for giving their time at such a busy season.
The Prize was awarded to Farmer Lewi's Larder
(well not the actual larder it was the two delightful ladies serving from it)
