MOORENDS COMMUNITY CENTRE REOPENED BY THE MAYOR OF THORNE

The Moorends Community Centre is a former Methodist Church on Northgate in Moorends which was acquired by Thorne- Moorends Town Council in 1976 and converted for community use. However after many years of use it became shabby and in need of refurbishment to bring it up to modern standards and thereby increase its usage both in terms of numbers of users and the range of activities that are carried out.
